What's a good starting setup for an indoor, smooth med-high bite track that runs m4 primes

You ever see someone get a finger cut on a spur gear? I've had mine cut by one. It's nasty. It's not a nice thing. I would put it back on, truck or not there is still a chance. Not to mention there is no reason to not have it on there.

How is someone going to cut their finger on it? Seriously? What, other than some proposed grevious injury, is the reason to have it on?

Marshaling. Grab the truck by the chassis just forward of the rear arms and it's right there. It happens, a LOT. Why do you think manufacturers include them in the design of the car? I wish I had a picture of the scar on my finger. Spur gears, out drives, steering components...... I have seen them all cause injury, that is why it is so important to get off the throttle/steering when someone is marshaling your car.

I always hold the brake while being marshaled and teaching my daughter the same habit. No throttle to both hands are clear.

Not sure if this has been ask before, but has there been any talk of a new truck coming out to match the B6M?

I like the current truck, I just got it but love it. I like how it is very popular and there is a lot of help available. For instance I just started racing at a new track(new to me) there are multiple guys running the t5m and they are all very helpful w/ tuning/set up. I hear ya tho a new truck would be cool but I'm very happy w/ mine. It reacts to set up changes very well and is just plain fast in the right hands(hopefully my hands in the next month). I wonder if there is a new truck in the works and what they would change from the current truck?

Can someone help me out with a baseline setup to start with. My local track is hard packed and med-high bit clay mix. We run m4 primes

The stock set up is pretty good, You may need to move the shocks around to change the rear rotation/front end push. But ae's website has some good setups. Look at the t5m and then go to set ups

If I had my set up sheet filled out I would give it to you but it is stock set up w/ shocks moving around depending on how tight of a track it is

Maybe you should switch to Losi. Don't they come out with new models every 8 months or so? I know my buddy is always telling me about this or that coming out (losi), and I have no idea what he's talking about.

I know this may sound crazy but has anyone ever tried fitting a B5m body on the T5M?

I am working on shifting everything over to Associated. On one of the tracks I run it gets really windy. For a joke I took the body from my 22 2.0 and put it and the wing on my 22T 2.0. Amazing at how much better it drove like that. Certainly not something to race with but for fun it makes a big difference. Really would love it if a B5M body would work on the T5M.

That's why many tracks have a spur gear cover rule, no gear cover = no race.

No such thing, either B6D or B6
I don't see a new truck anytime soon, may be T6D/T6?
