The new b5 ball cups are fantastic IMO. They can require a bit of work to thread so they are easy to adjust later and some bind a little before pinching, but the end result is a smooth cup with no slop. They certainly stay on better than most as well. I have never seen a B5/T5 cup pop off in a race.

Anyone tried an inline shorty setup yet? Was thinking of doing this during my build as an option.

Yup i built mine inline from the start and i like it as much as my inline B5M I'm running 17.5, the only thing on the T5M is i have the battery back and ESC forward on the buggy i have the ESC back and battery forward, I'm liking this T5M the more i run it.

Our new track layout is pretty awesome but if I continue to run my truck with a square pack I'm going to have to move up to at least a 10.5 [from the current 13.5]. The damn truck is so heavy that I need to be wide open and squared up to hit our big tripple. It would be easier if I could just mosey up to it at normal pace and squeeze the trigger a little harder to clear it. Since there's a small double and a turn right after, the high speed approach is difficult because it makes me overshoot the double and barely make the turn. I hate having to motor up but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.

I found a lot of happiness in an 8.0 motor. The 7.5 was a little much outdoors, and the 8.5 was slow. I did have a 10.5 in it at one point and it was dog slow.

I too run a square pack, and welcome the added weight, it with the brass C mount really stabilize the truck through the rough, and also smooth out any mistakes on jumps.

How do you gear that 8.0? I have a couple of them sitting in my cabinet. I might as well try one out before they come out with a Mach3.

19x84, it runs a little on the warm side. About 150 after 10 minutes with 20 degrees of timing. I had an extra fan setup laying around for building another dedicated 17.5 b5m, so I threw that on the truck for right now.

so im running on an indoor clay track with plenty of grip and im having trouble getting enough steering, especially on throttle. I first ran the box stock set up and the truck had two much steering but i decided to run a 3 gear tranny and the truck became tight. I then switched set up to the one for 3 gear on associateds site. Im running chainlinks front and rear and dont have any other tires to try. Does anyone have any ideas to try for more steering?
