congrats, make sure she knows how appreciative you are. Many people take stuff like that for granted, don't be one of those.

With my kids at least, if they save up half of an item, we help them with the other half.

I'm ordering that tonight and having it drop shipped to my painter. Apparently that ones been popular amoungst some of the AE team drivers. I think it looks much better than the proline too.

JConcepts was saying something along the lines of that they have to do some minor changes to their current mid motor truck body to make it fit better on the T5m ... Might want to ask the question in the JConcepts thread before you make the order

On a positive note... I can settle for a T4.2 I guess... My history, of a radio control consumer, has been to buy "last year's" model. It takes me awhile to catch up to the latest and greatest RCs out there. Nothing wrong with that, since I would be able to swap parts off my AE trucks/buggies.

I can't wait to hear some input of guys/gals putting down lap times with a T5M compared to a T4.2 running on an outdoor track with loamy soil.

Rustyus - have you driven a b5m outdoors? I have not found a track yet where it was a disadvantage? In a fact the opposite. Do not knock it to you try it.

what conditions do you see on your outdoor tracks?

Are we talking like old school dirt (like where a big pin tire works and you have dirt roosts) or the higher bite stuff common in a lot of places now?

if the former, I'd be curious on your setups.

I ran my B5M outdoors last summer and it was awesome. Wasn't as good setup wise as I am now but my outdoor setup now would be:

3x1.4s all the way around (maybe 2x1.7s in the rear if no big jumps) green springs in the rear 25-27.5 wt oil, all the way inside on the rear shock tower. Long rear link up position on hub 0 on the rear camber block. 3.5 degrees + 1 anti squat, hubs pushed all the way forward, .5 degree inserts in the hubs for a total of 4 degrees of toe. 20 gram brass C block and if I still needed more rear traction I would try the 15 gram brass D block.

That setup should be absolutely amazing outdoors. Also run a shorty all the way back.

I too have found the B5M to be good outdoors. I sold my rear motor car in favor of it, in fact.

I run a little more aggressive tire (JC Hybrid) and it's been really good out doors. I worry maybe the YZ-2 or KF may not be as good since the motor is so forward, but I have zero experience with those cars.

Right, no rims included. This way you don't pay for rims you would not use due to having the wrong color. I'll go for green wheels for a change, DE Racing offer a vide variety of colors.

wonder how much that is reflected in the actual price of the vehicle

Saving me the trouble of having rims I may not use just never seems to ever save some change on the wallet these days

What did they change on the v2 top shaft? Will a avid slipper still work?

Kody Numedahl was on the Radio Impound Podcast and said the mid motor truck will be the only version. No rear motor. They feel like the truck works just as well on a low grip track as a rear motor would.
