I was going to wait for the T5m but my lhs had a XFactory X60cf conversion for my t4.2 for $250.00 I have several t4 versions so converting one was a no brainer. I love the the way the mid motor handles, much better balance + its carbon chassis. I don't like aluminum chassis, one hit odd can tweak them just enough to make it impossible to get to handle requiring replacement. Had that issue with my t4 gt.

Also DdasHiz who made that attachment for your rear tower???

thanks!
The rear tower extension is a part I made, they are laser cut out of 7075 t6 The chassis as well. The chassis is stretched 10 mms and puts the truck right at the roar limit.

strait conversion from B5M using entire T4 front end and T4 rear a-arms flipped factory team hubs and T4 swing arms. put me at just a touch under 11". Roar rules 9"min 11.5" max. kept the b5m rear tower used T4 bigbore shocks drove great. T4.2 came with pucks on it. not sure if i can use them in the b5. could check when its time for go faster parts.

What's your length. I was afraid of using the B5m chassis and it being too short

just touch over 15.5 roar min is 15.25.. thats goin from front of the tire to the back edge of the body not counting the wing. the body i have is a proline. its from the t4.2 parts truck. i put it next to a RT6 checking wheel base its about 4mm shorter. even then measurement say still legal. Wheel base min is 9" max 11.5 im just a touch under 11" rear hubs shimmed back and front forward. more modifications to the t4 rear a-arms and can flip but might put at max wheel base or touch over. only way to know is to try.

Put 22sct rear arms on the truck. Makes it about 2-3mms longer and you can use the b5 rear hingepins. and for the hubs i used a 2inch 4-40 screw and a lock nut on the other side and shimmed them back. The thing is dialed. Put the rear buggy shock shafts in the rear truck shock bodies and used the stock tower and its hooked up for sure.

Awesome! I have been holding off on buying another truck hoping a T5 or even a new SC10 would be out soon.....this gives me more incentive to wait. Looks good!!

I was just at OCRC Raceway practicing and Cav was indeed running a T5 and testing it out. Looks like it's coming along quite well!

I wasn't brave enough to try and get close up pics while he and his two coworkers were standing around it.
