Default Editable setup sheet T5M

I was looking for one and found out it didn't exist yet, so took it upon myself. Not perfect but should work.

Heres a dropbox link. You will need to download and use acrobat reader to do edits.

Ran my T5M for the first time saturday and Chris Pearce is SPOT ON! The truck is fantastic for me with only a couple tweaks from Thielke's setup! It is almost perfect! There was a pic on Facebook of a stock T5M and it was perfect 50/50 right to left balance as well as front to rear! I found clamping hexes and front axles in stock at RC Planet. Gonne be a FUN race this weekend!

I'd like to pick up a truck and have a LHS selling the T4.2FT for $230. Wondering if the T4.2FT is a better value at that price than the T5M?

Long term I figure the T5M is the better buy but I could run the 4.2 till the 5M FT is released?

Indoor clay track is where I'd be running it. Currently there is almost never a ST race, hoping that changes.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. Just get the T5M. The FT truck is most likely a year out. If they even release one.

Get the T5M!
The T4.2 isn't even in the same solar system performance wise in comparison the the new truck!

You've twisted my arm enough to convince me.

Good looking out!

Oh I have driven them a hundred times... just never owned and competed with one.

$230 for a T4.2 vs. $279 for a T5? No comparison... T5 all the way. MAYBE if the T4 was $130... then maybe the "bang for buck" might be closer. IMO, the T4s and B4s hold very little value... new or used.

Well, the T5M is heavier. So you have to take that into consideration. People had the same issues coming from the b4.2 to the B5. Some people held out for an entire year, then once they got the B5/M they were like, "omfg, why did i ever wait". Locally, we have become big into fans for anything 17.5. If you are going to run the t5m in 17.5, get a fan. There are a couple good ones on shapeways. One of them even accepts a 30mm fan as opposed to the standard 25mm that most people use. The slap on an R1 30mm thick fan and connect it to you battery bullets for max speed and less stress on the bec

this is the one that accepts a 30mm fan

this is a 25mm one and appears to be available in steel.....

Turnbuckles were the same as my B5M. I polished my ballstuds for a nice fit.

Waiting for my chassis to get done and a receiver to get here, then I'll be set.
