So far only 1 issue in build of mine. Got the dreaded ball stud that is still round where the hex driver goes.

Just picked up my T5M kit from the LHS. I have a few other irons in the fire so I may not be able to get started on the build right away.

Looking forward to seeing set up feed back from those who have them on the track.

Putting mine together now. Plan on shorty if running stock (Stock Nats) and otherwise square with my mod motor.

I got my tires and wheels today. I was surprised to see Dirt Tech inserts came with the Dirt Webs. I noticed a big difference in weight compared to the open cell foams... I have all the electronics and battery ready, just need the truck to arrive. ETA on the truck is tomorrow... I've decided not to do any upgrades and just see if anything fails. I have all my stock spares from upgrading the B5M... I feel I got a decent deal $229.99 from Tower with free shipping.. Really looking forward to getting back into ST

Kit setup isn't too bad, but if you are running mod and have the grip to support it, build with 1.6mm x 2 hole rear pistons with 30wt oil instead of the kit 1.7mm x 2 hole with 35wt. Kit is a touch soft.

Shorty centered for 17.5, square pack for mod.

I got my built and have had two days at the track now. Not full days just a few runs after work. I run on an indoor clay track close to ocrc and scvrc. That being said I super happy with the truck. Easy build, every thing was there. I did notice they included longer ball studs with a washers and a lock nut to help with the stud backing out and loosing the blue camber mount in the rear hub carriers. As set up goes " kit " was ok. I ended up trying Brent set up off it is way better. More on Power stearing. Rotates at low speeds better, but u got to drive it hard don't let it unload it can get to be a hand full if u try to baby it. It also is harder to drive all around. Unlike it T4 predecessor tje 5 lawn darts like stupid easy. Like to the point while I was running a guy asked "how did that happen u looked like u were going to down side that dubble and your truck just stuck in the landing" IE. If you were going to land in a 45* angle nose down, in the 4 Platform u would be ok, bur in the 5 Platform u would not. It's like half that. There is no motor gard to save you if u Try power out of a funky landing u can wheelie over super easy. I was running an 8.5 with a full size 6000 square batt. I will be going back to 17.5 due to that's ally track runs and I HAD to run mod truck lol. Just my experience

I built mine slightly different than the kit setup. Went with 27.5 rear and 30 front, springs and pistons as per instructions. I wanted to run the front upper links short, but the ball cups would not allow them to be that short. I am gonna buy some shorter links to play with as well as some longer ones to play with the rear link lengths as well. I dont think I am gonna be using the kit ball ends for very long. I would rather have a standard RPM ball cup than the ones this truck came with.

Two sets of front camber links(short & long) required to be able to use all positions? Thanx for the tip.
