I run my battery with the thin foam piece behind it and 49g of weight, would I gain anything by moving it all the way back, I believe it is 7mm foam.

Shorty with the weight under is better in my opinion it puts the weight in a smaller area which gives the truck a better feel. The brick pack would work but would make the truck lazy I think

I've been experimenting with shorty, saddle, and square packs my last few times at the track. So far I've run my fastest time with a saddle pack setup. In my opinion the truck felt a bit too twitchy with the shorty but that might be just me.

I weighed everything and the saddle pack is heavier by ~14 grams compared to my square pack. When I get home from work I can weight everything and post the weights for those that are interested.

I run a shorty in mine. But, we run a 17.5 stock class at the local track. Obviously, I went this route for weight. It was running pretty darn good in a pretty much stock box setup. That said, I just made some upgrades to shave close to 60g (mostly in the back). Haven't gotten to run it yet. So, I may have messed it all up...LOL

Anyone using the B6/B6D low friction shock seals in their shocks instead of the "red o-rings"? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...7&I=LXEBXR&P=K

Any noticeable improvement in the suspension? Doing a rebuild shortly and wondering if they are worth the upgrade? (10.00 vs. 2.00). Do they last any longer or reduce swell better?

Which laydown are people using? WWHD & Anders Lind seem to have gone away. Shapeways? What other is good? Oh, and not expensive!

The x rings give a better seal which means more consistency and longer between rebuilds. Not a huge difference in feel but I'd install them as a replacement

The AC RC Gear one with the B6 motor plate is what I am using.. it looks like they have update the design quite a bit and it's pretty nice compared to the 1st version I had for the B5m. Picked it up on a sale they were having for about 50$ for 4 items ( L & R gear case, battery strap and waterfall ) the motor mount can be found for around 10$ so for 60$ for everything.. that's a fair price.

Yes. I just cut a motor plate according to the template and works great. I think the price is my favorite part of this upgrade.

The X-ring are better and will reduce swelling, last longer as well, but with the X-rings or red stock ones use plenty Associated green slime on them ether of which will benefit greatly.
