In other vehicles the head of the screw is always opposite of the pinion, and any time I've gotten this wrong it loosens itself destroying my fresh rebuild. Just my exp, not saying op is wrong.

If the bolt on one side will loosen it, then logic states that having it on the other side tightens it. It's not going to tighten or loosen depending on what side it's on. Just pick a side that's easiest for you to adjust it from.

I would agree with that logic, however will also add that both my 22 3.0 and t5m manual state a direction when assembling. Pointless maybe?

How is this a discussion in all the Associated threads?

Does not matter.......and if you're driving and it does happen to loosen, flip it

Diff gear question, on the T4 and the gt2 they used a 52t gear part # ASC7664
,but the new 52t gear is part # 91419, anyone Know the difference between them if they are bot 52 and for the 2.60:1 tranny?

Starting with the 5 series the diff gears now accept 14 diff balls instead of old 12

On astro I use Schumacher Mini Spike or Stagger. On EOS-style carpet I use Micro spike with 2-3 rows cut on the in and outside.
Thanks for the info!

I ran mine for the first time ever at bumps last Sunday. I really enjoyed it a whole lot, so much fun. I enjoyed more then my b44.3, the truck is so easy to drive(still learning how to brake and turn consistently w/ a 2wd). My truck was owned by a team driver so it is pretty set up already. I bought the aluminum hubs and want to try some different pistons since mine has a ton of pack. Is it normal to run lots of pack in a t5m? I love the looks of these trucks and for the first time that I can ever remember I ran 2 heats w/out a crash(I did end up stuck front end against the pipes but that was it). The only bad thing that happened on Sunday was that some how I cracked my new body, It has my personal best paint job to date. So some drywall tape and shoe goo will have to fix that.
Great truck/class and thanks for the help guys, I really liked the 27Gram (I think not the 40 something) brass weight under the shorty. I've never been so consistent before.

Oh yea and I forgot to ask are the gold kyosho springs still the magic springs? I read somewhere in this thread that somebody didn't like the golds and preferred the whites? For the price of these springs I only want to buy one set. I run on a medium/medium high bite tracks w/ small/medium/1 medium large triple. thanks

I was running with you at bumps, I'm on 1.6 front and 1.7 rears for pistons and think the packs pretty good, truck transfers weight easily maybe a little just a tad too much, but it isn't super twitchy and on 13.5 I feel it let's me cut into corners a bit better.
I do want to try 3x1.4 and a few springs also.
Ps. We talked there I had the black n gold truck

Oh yea dude, I think I said "I stink so watch out when you go to lap me" Of course I always try to move to the outside so people can get around me as easy as possible. I got tangled up on the first lap in the main but came back to within about 10 seconds of the middle group. I just ordered the same pistons you run as well as 3x1.4's. You can drive my truck next time we race together to see if you like the 3x1.4's
