Did about 75 laps with my T4 when my buddy showed up and said here try my T5M. Truck felt more planted everywhere, seriously felt like it jumped as well as landed better, and simply inspired more confidence to push it harder around the track. Time to make the upgrade soon.

Yeah it's a GREAT truck! Best I have driven so far and have ran pretty much every truck available till the T5M. I'd imagine some great deals out there for the guys who gotta have a T6M the minute it comes out even if that's a year away...

Just a few small tweaks and the T5M can be a beast! Box stock it's pretty good!

I think the one I drove was basically stock. Can you elaborate on what the best tweaks are? I need to start researching more about it, guess it's time to start reading this thread from the beginning.

Schelle oiled ceramic gearbox bearings are a must have, 3 gear tranny is nice but not needed, and truck springs. Pretty much the rest of the stuff I have on my truck is eye candy.

After driving my buddies T5M at practice last week, I made a goal of getting my T4 feeling as planted as his truck was. I succeeded and had a great race day, but I now have a T5M on the way. Next race should be even more fun!

Wondering if anybody can give me a starting point I raced my T5.Friday and it was a struggle to keep the back end coming around. And forward bite was worse I'm running box set up except for a couple minor changes. Moved rear hubs all the way forward. Running shorty all the way back with Yokomo battery weights. Track is med to high bite running slicks 1.6 Pistons all around shock oils 35/30.

You could try Cav's 2015 nats setup, It was a slicks track also. Make sure your inserts and sauce is tha same as the fast guys at your track, that's huge!
