Just add the weight under the battery and consider that the standard. Change anything for tuning or driving preference.

Just an FYI out there to anyone running the T5M in outdoor loose and bumpy/rough conditions.... If you're running the newer truck springs and not happy with the truck. Take them off! After some testing last weekend, the stock (buggy) springs were so much better in these conditions!

I dont think a new platform with be out till next year. Will they release an updated t5m with bling....maybe. they might want to reduce inventory. a good way is to deck out the current platform with option parts. For example the B5m CE....

Raced a 22T 2.0 last year and thought for this year I would try a T5M but I need a little advice on setup for our out door very low traction track. My TLR was ran in rear motor and worked very well so what do I need on the T5M to get as much rear bite as possible?

There a few items that will help. Get the brass c block and inserts. Stick with the buggy springs that come with it. Don't bother with the newer truck springs for outdoor low grip. If you're running mod use a square pack of a shorty with 50 grams of weighty under the lipo.

Space the rear arms forward. Use the 3.5 inner toe inserts. Use whatever gearing combination that moves the motor further back. I use the 81/19 with a 7.5 instead of the usual 84 spur gear.

Look into using the front castor block spacers to move the spindle down! This helps a lot.

My usual shock setup is:
Front:
1.6 35 oil 3 limiters 26.5mm droop. Blue or yellow spring. Middle tower/outside arm
Rear:
1.7 30 oil 1 limiter 36mm droop white or green spring. Inside tower middle on arm

I run mine with a 8.5 and the 3 gear, on an indoor mid to high bite track and really like it.

I'm going to be converting my SC5m into a T5m, got the chassis, cradle, body posts, and front axles on the way. Is there anything I should look out for or be wary of with doing the conversion?

So while working today I tried to quickly browse through and find someone talking about a direct drive for the T5M. No one at my track uses them so I cant get any answers here.

exotekracing.com/b5-t5-sc5-direct-spur-mount/

For the 17.5 stock class would this be a improvement or not? The track is a medium bite.

I've stripped out 2 idler gears using the slipper eliminator running 17.5. It's very high bite @ Beachline Raceway. High grip + big tires + on throttle landings = stripped idlers I've gone back to a tight slipper.
