I'd really like to get a ST class going at my local track. It's been a long time since I've run one.

As much as I have come to despise SCT racing (mainly due to the demolition derby drivers), I did enjoy it for a while until I switched back to buggy in 2012, and I even enjoyed it again in December when racing on carpet with a couple of well-behaved dudes. SCTs have brougt many new people into the hobby and are part of the success of electric off-road in the last few years rather than responsible for the downfall of RC racing. I smile with every comment bashing on SCT as a racing class, but these Shoe Cartons actually were good for our hobby. These trucks are not useless at all: I recycled my son's SC10, and now it features e.g. a shorter chassis, a Finnisher body and some proper wheels.
Recycling process: SCT -> S(C)T -> ST
SCT did great for this hobby. One thing that made a few classes like demolition derby is because the wheels are tucked under the body so people aren't really that scared getting close to other drivers compared to buggies and stadium trucks. I miss my Losi XXXT but not as much as I would miss SCT. Tracks are getting bigger and bigger (especially where I live) and 1/8 is the most common class here. Thanks to the size of SCT you can still run easily on a 1/8 track without the 1/8 price but still be able to run on 1/10.

I installed the flat arms in the T4 for running on carpet next week, mostly because of the shock mounting options that the "old" shock tower provides.
I've ran nothing but flat arms on my B5's and T4.2. On a med-high bite track the gull-wings are just too aggressive. The flat arms calmed it down a lot! Thankfully the T5M will come with flat arms!

Any idea if the body will come out before the kit. Love to have a body painted up prior to putting mine together.

Not fond of the Bulldog but if that's what's available before hand, I guess it'll have to do...

So the RT6 line of bodies should fit? That would mean the JConcepts Finnisher should fit as well....

I'd rather take a very small gamble and get the JC finnisher. The bulldog is just... Horrible at best.

I take my ST to the track every time I go, I run it just as much as as my SC (SC got me back in the hobby) some times more. I think if people see yours on the track they might bring out there ST. we have had 7+ trucks a few times and I see more on practice day's. Hopefully the release of the T5 will generate some more interest in the class.

3 Heats of ST at SRS yesterday. (two 17.5 and 1 modified)

I'd say it's alive and well.

As soon as I can leave the wife alone (just had a hip replaced) i'll be back to SRS for the modified St class. My new ST truck is so much fun I don't think i'll run the SC class. It's hard to go back and forth from mid motor ST to rear motor SC. I guess it's time for a MM SC.
