Hey guys,
Hope this hasn't been asked/answered already. Can I use the stock big bore internals with the Kashima-coated shock bodies? Not wanting to cheap out on good shocks, just looking at ways to fly under the radar. The Boss might freak over a $100 purchase but a couple $3o here & there will keep me in her good graces

The plastic internals that come in the T5m kit are the same for the Fox bodies. Most importantly get the x-rings!

That was going to be my follow-up question. I will probably add the xrings at the same time as the new springs I ordered. Big race coming up on 20th, starting shock set up will be 37.5/32.5, truck white springs all around, xrings installed in place of the reds. Fox bodies and chrome springs at a later date, probably AFTER switching to 3 gear transmission.

Default Mod motor for t5m

Picked up a reedy 8.5 will be running in the mod stadium class..
As I have stated I have not raced since the 90s..
There is no stock stadium class were I will run. Most at the track run 7.5, 8.5..
Just wondering if there will be a learning curve, i.e. To much power.. If so do you recommend going to a 13.5 or just setting the esc..
Thanks again!

It will be cheaper to set the epa than to buy another motor.

What are these chrome springs you speak of?

In other news, I do believe AE has hit it outta the ballpark with the updated ballcups! Just mounted some up and BOOM nice and free with zero extra work!

How can you tell if the cups are the "updated" ones?

What he ^ said.
New cups are nice and free.
Old cups are stiff and bound up.

Buy 'em from Amain, they cycle through supply fast enough you're pretty sure to get an updated set. That's what I did.

I haven't seen a kit in a long while that had the old cups. As long as you didn't buy a truck from a retailer that has had it sitting around for 6 months you should be fine.
