Turbo???
I heard there are turbos. Does anyone know anything about it???

Well, due to the lack of information you provided, I can only guess that your reffering to turbo glow plugs. A turbo glow plug is a glow plug with a radiused bottom for a smoother combustion chamber. Nitro engines also have boost ports, which direct the flow of fresh fuel and air to the top of the combustion chamber for increased efficiency. The last thing I can think of would be the RB Innovations supercharger system.

The turbos or superchargers or whatever gimmick you see are just a waste of money parts sold to people who don't know any better. Think about it this way, how much more do you think can be had out of a motor already spinning 30,000 rpm's? And then also think that these motors are lubricated by the fuel/air mixture brought into the combustion chamber. When you get to your high rpm's the oil and mixture is at a minimum already.

I've heard these don't work properly and same goes for R/C NOS. For $300 you might as well buy a new engine.

But some of the airplane engines are four stroke engines, so they have the separate cycle for intake, allowing them to have more air crammed in there.
