Hi guys, I heard somewhere that if I have a motor with a kv less than 3800kv I can run a 3s lipo on a SV2 SCT esc.. I am not sure if this is true or not and I would love to be able to run a 3s lipo on my rustler. Oh and I have a velineon 3500kv motor with the SCT esc.

Yes you can. You can even run 3s on a castle 1409 4600kv motor and I think even their 5700kv motor. It's all about temps, gearing, and weight. Run a pinion about 25% smaller to start and go from there. So if you run a 20t pinion, start with a 15t. This is all a little subjective depending on each setup but you get the idea.
