Where does Jim Hustin have his setup posted?
It's on the first page under "Set Up Sheets"

Wondering if RC Shox could do garolite discs here...

Also, when you guys are running stock class, do you feel the current spur gears for 17.5 blinky were sufficient or do you need smaller spur gears?

am I right in assuming the transmission ratio is like the slash, 2.73 based on waht I am seeing here:

http://scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html
If you're running a 17.5 you'll probably want to use the optional 78t spur gear to get the proper gear ratio.

I just asked this very same question today about the transmission ratio. Yes it is the same as the same which is 2.72.

This might help with the Flo-Tek body.

Yeah I wish there was a SCB following around here... I've never seen it listed as a class at any of the tracks near me.

out here SCBs have an official class for a series. They run them with 10.5 motors, limitations to I guess how some of the vehicles come configured via tires, no upgrades to big bores on shocks, and you have to run 30C 5000mah pack max.

I shot a message asking about the proline truck if it could be legal configured in buggy form.

probably only thing that would hard for me to get on board with is the battery limitations, mainly as I like to just have everything setup the same but if you want to play you play but the rules, and I can respect that.

Right now waiting for the vehicle to go out, I also talked to Mantisworx from RC Shox, may see some slipper goodness from him

I don't think you can run the Pro-2 as a 2wd Buggy and be within the ROAR legal limits. I know with the 22sct the chassis is similar but not the same as the 22b chassis however the arms are much longer for the sct. Also the chassis may be too long.

This won't be for ROAR. this is a regional SCB class that they run.

Right now doing a bit of doese-doe with the seller, hopefully it will actually go out.

What did you modify for blinky setup? Just taking weight out? How much heavier is this vs the AE or TLR trucks?

Thinking about trying this for a blinky SC class. Something different than all of the AE and TLR trucks.

Any recommended gearing to start with for 17.5 blinky on a large outdoor track. Medium to low traction.

gearing depends on the motor/esc that you're using more than the truck you're putting it in. You'll want to find the recommended Final Drive Ratio (FDR) from the manufacturer. Where the truck comes into play is the transmission ratio (which on the Pro-2 is 2.72) then you can use an online calculator to determine where a good baseline is.

Typically with 17.5 you'll gear higher since you wont be running any timing on the esc. I think I had my Novak setup set to 24t pinion and 76t spur with 32 deg timing on the end bell.
