They are hard to come by here in the states. Im actually curious about the Lemans 240 brushless pictured with the new turbo scorpion.. that would be a cool motor to have

The 17.5 is in stock at Kyosho USA right now.

But I too am curious about the brushless motor from them as shown in the TS. They also have just released an ESC as well.

Its nice to see some Kyosho branded Motors and ESC again, rather than Orion. Makes it a bit more cool!

Regarding the Tamiya paddle trac on the Scorpion.

Kyosho axles are 1 mm thinner than Tamiyas so the hole on the Tamiya wheel is a little bit bigger. In the old days we would put a brass shim over the kyosho axle and then used the tamiya wheel with the kyosho drive hub. So that is one route

The next route would be to use the Tamiya wheel hub. So I checked on my re-re scorpion. The cross pin hole is standard, so the one from Tamiya fits. However the axle has a lip which is larger in diameter then the Tamiya hub. So you would have to bore it out. Once you bore it out, the Tamiya SRB wheel can be secured without a problem.

Those hubs come on this parts tree from Tamiya

http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio...-58496-9005157

These plastic ones have more of an offset and are better than the ones that come with the SRB, which are narrow and made out of pot metal

I have also ordered the CRP RC10 to Tamiya Wheel adapter # 1560 and will follow up with those as well. Given that the Tamiya Tire and wheel options are pretty awesome.

I just listed the new Kyosho japan site.. finally they updated it ..

The Lemans 240 brushless looks great.. I noticed they have two listed both say 21.5 on heading but then the sticker on one says 19.5 and the other 15.5

like the small ESC as well

If you plan on running the tamiya fronts.. you can order 4 4x11x3 bearing from Boca, instead of the 5x11x3 with the crp brass shim

Thanks for the heads up, that will work better.

Has anyone added foam and vented the tamiya tires by chance, so they are a bit more pliable, vs. being filled with "air".

- That Le-mans looks so cool and pretty period correct.

On that note, I ordered them via an online retailer that supposedly had two sets, about 14 days later i receive a refund - no longer available Hence going to Tamiya tires and wheels

Yeah I want to try and get rid of that "over-aired" bounce the Tamiya tires have.
