1/8 Buggy Recommendations
Looking for some 1/8 buggy recommendations here. I have been racing for quite some time now but stepped away for a few years to take a break. I am looking to pick up another buggy for this upcoming season. What would you recommend and why? Please don't post with just a specific brand as I would like to know why you recommend what you do.
Here is some key factors for me.
1) Parts availability (online as there is no LHS that carry any race vehicle parts)
2) Durability as I am no pro driver and I am certain to make mistakes
3) Ease of setup and maintenance (easy to work on and setup)
4) Basic setup allows an easy to drive platform
5) Affordability ( this is always important for me)
RC8.2E
MBX-7 ECO (maybe MBX-6)
EB48.2
Team TC T8E
Serpent
Hot Bodies
Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

What, no Losi 3.0 on that list? Lol, pretty big fan of Losi as they work pretty good for me.
But if I was to try buggy, I would consider the new Kyosho MP9E RTR thats coming out at the end of the month. The electronics seem decent altho the servo looks pretty weak but considering all you have to supply is a lipo(s) and its under $500, it seems like a pretty good value IMO.

The HB D812 all day long from that list. It drives amazingly, it has a super smooth and free suspension and drive train, and is very tough. I owned the car and loved it. I wouldnt even look at the AE. I have not driven a serpent or eb48 that i have liked. The mugen would be my second on the list having great quality and design. I am rolling all Losi now and couldnt be happier with the 8ight 3.0e and 8ight T 3.0e.....
The great part about Losi is how easy they are to drive, and how neutral the setups are.....

I've owned a losi 2.0, tlr e 3.0, rc8.2e, and now the serpent 2.0. I obviously chose sponsorship with the best car. Their RTR kit is awesome and parts are available at serpentamerica.com
Ease of use, durability, and handling are amazing. Drive train lasts forever

1/8 buggy
I would losi or TEKNO
Both of these are true ebuggys
The losi is easy to order parts
The TEKNO has some the best arms and towers
And durable. I have had some bad wrecks with my TEKNO and no part breakage.
And for the love of god,,,, no associated!!!!!!! With all the stuff u got to buy for the nitro to work the ebuggy would be the same I would think.

I'd go with Hot Bodies as well. I had a D8e and loved it, had a D812 w/an electric conversion, but had to sell it before I ran it due to totaling my real car.
The JQ eCar is another choice that is not too expensive. I have one ready to go as soon as the snow melts, so I can't say how good of a performer it is.

I have owned Agama, Xray, And currently driving a team C, have driven Mugen and Losi, and the Team C Takes the cake.
Perfectly balanced, out of the box setup does everything great, and with some refinements to the stock setup it is a joy to drive. built like a tank, takes some seriously nasty hits without even looking back

All the top brand cars are good.
You cannot say that one is better than the other.
They all have their strenghts and weaknesses.
My son and I both run the TLR 8igth E 3.0 and are very pleased with both performance and durability.
Why? We started with an 8ight 2.0 that drove well and was like a tank. Coming from RTR buggies we were very impressed with the quality of a top brand kit.
So it was natural for os to trail along the E 3.0.
My neighbour drives a Mugen MBX6 eco and has just replaced it with a MBX7 eco. He just likes Mugen for no logical reason.
You cannot go wrong if you choose Losi/TLR, Mugen, Kyosho, RB etc.
