When I first saw these in RC Car Action in a Team Driver's ride I was jealous but now they made the battery strap thumb screws available to the public. This is the best $7 I ever spent! Part number is 1787, do yourself a favor and get rid of the pain in the butt body clips that hold down your battery strap and pick yourself up these.

I'm assuming by the name "thumb screws" you just screw em in with your hand?So no need for body slips or allen driver?Sounds nice.I use allen screws for my batt. strap but I am really getting tired of it so $7 doesn't seem bad for a pair of those.

Exactly. There is a headless hex screw that replaces the two hex screws the body clips slide into. You then simply screw these nuts onto those screws (with your fingers) to secure the battery strap.
