Nitro or Electric? If you are looking for Nitro pick up the latest copy of Xtreme RC Cars (www.rc411.com) they just did a shoot out of the top buggies. The best was the Kyosho 777 SP1 but you may want to read the entire article as it gives you really good insight.

For electric I would highly recommend the Team Associated B4 Factory Team kit. It won the 2005 RC Car Action's Reader's Choice award and is a solid buggy.

I have had experience with both the Mugen MBX5 and the TTR EB4S3. I can honestly say that both of these buggies will turn tighter than the Kyosho 777. There are a couple of them at the track and both owners are surprised how well either of my cars turn compared to theirs.

After that, it's mostly about set up and part's support. If you can get parts for the car in your area, it's a better choice than anything else.

Dont be scared to look at Hobao's range of buggies. I think they're branded as Ofna in the USA.

The Hyper 7 Pure Comp kit is thier top of the line kit, it TQ'd at the last 1/8th scale off road worlds. Its just as good as anything else out there, kyosho and mugen included. I just picked up my Hyper 7 Pure Comp kit for less that half what the Mugen MBX-5 Prospec sells for locally... Its got all the goodies, C hub suspension, pipe & header, pre-cut body and plenty of purple anodised bling bling

I bought mine at the same time as a mate bought his pure comp kit, here is a pic of his almost complete..
