That's not that fast. Tekin pro4 is 4600kv hobbywing is 4700kv and my novak is 5000kv. It's right in the ball park.

my thoughts:

-why? if you're not going for a non-ROAR legal motor, why not go for a 550 motor and go head to head with the pro-4HD

-to go for a 545 motor, it's only real competition is the hobbywing motor which will be probably half the cost. based on the size of the hobbywing rotor (which is bigger than the pro-4HD), i doubt the trinity will be any better. it can only hope to be as good for twice the price. again, why?

-i do like that it has adjustable endbell timing. the myth of "it's 4 pole so it doesn't like timing" is disproved by anyone who is running the hobbywing V3 esc with the hobbywing 4 pole, myself included. my 4000kv 4-pole loves boost.

I ran a 4800KV Quad for a few tries and it seemed warmer that I liked. Fast motor though. I wonder how these will do in that respect.

I'm confused by this, Tekin has stated that 4pole motors do not like timing. So did trinity figure out how to run timing on there motors or is it just the pro4 motors that dont like timing?

Tough croud, no love for trinity. Their products have always been outstanding for me and I would expect nothing less from this product....

Only thing I can say is the trinity is a motor company. Ernie and Dieter are some of if not the best in the business. I'm sure this line of motors will not disappoint.

Timing is a tuning option that i appreciate. All the Revtech 4xS 4-pole motors are adjustable. I run my timing all the way negative and use ESC RPM-based and throttle-based advance up to 14 deg in my SCT.

Maybe the person meant they don't like being cranked up to the max mark? That might be true. But i personally like the option to de-tune the mechanical timing and add it back smarter with esc-based algorithms. It's the difference between variable valve timing, and static-profile cams on 1:1 cars. I'll take variable timing every day.

I love the 4xS. Zombie should be even nicer.

I have a couple of 4xs motors in the tool box, I think they run strong, very fast motors. They did not run too hot by any means but seemed warmer to me than other options I had.

That's Tekin... not other motor companies. Hobbywing 3656sd loves timing and runs cool without venting on the can.
