Search these threads for Reedy, Orion, Protek, thunderpower, turnigy nanotechs and Smc, all theses brands will have dedicated threads which will have lovers and haters of every pack, the best packs are generally the ones that get the best care and charged/discharged and stored correctly, I'm in your area and can help get your head around any info you find, shoot me a pm for some help if you want it.

Cheers Justin

Just search "LiPo battery RC" in Google, and you can get more information about it.

As I understand it the demand on a 17.5 motor isn't going high on a lipo, however a higher C lipo will hold higher voltages under load which in turn gives higher performance.

ive seen 17.5 guys puff the smc packs.

its not that they are super demanding. its just to be fast you have to push all your gear in that class.

but even in a mod buggy 20c will not be very good. maybe on a super loose track if you cant keep your trigger finger under control LOL

With a 17.5? How low do you discharge you packs? What voltage/charge state do you store at, how long do they sit fully charged? Over discharging and sitting at full charge is hard on packs and can cause the best to puff.

Let us know how the $17 shorty works, might pick a few up if they're good.
