It sounds like you are well on your way and bought the items that I would get off the bat. I run the avid triad on mine as well as all my other kyosho cars. It really is nice. As far as pucks, I kept mine on my scr-sp which is super light weight and I can tell a big difference in stock racing. The sc6 does not need it. Good call on that one.

Thank you, that's reassurance from somebody that has one that I'm on the right track.
I cannot wait to get this thing built and out there!

I've gone through most of this thread and have t seen much on electronics placement. I'm building my truck this weekend in MM and with a shorty. No sure if I want the ESC on top of the battery all the way back, ESC between motor and battery or ESC in front of the battery with the battery all the way back...
I'm running 17.5. Any thoughts from those that have experimented?
Also seen people all over the board on shock setups, I love 2x1.6 and 2x1.7 on my Losi but it seems like nobody runs 2 holes on these. Any reason for that?

I have mine set up with the speedo on the shelf above the battery. The only difference is I am running a saddle pack intead of a shorty.

Same setup I run on my Losi (with a shorty) and it works well on that truck. Not sure how it'll translate to this truck but I'll probably try it on this one as well.
That was my thinking on the shocks too but I haven't seen a single setup on these with 2 hole pistons so I'm not sure.

I thought there was some 2 1.6 setups out there ? I'm running the 4 1.3 and a lose bumpy track and the truck is great. I'd be happy if my rb6 drove half as good. I'm a full 1 second faster with my sc6

I would try the Cody Turner setup first. The one with 1.4x3 in the front and stock pistons in the rear. Then try the Losi setup and compare the two to see which one I liked best. The Turner setup is dialed for me.

I did mine like codys but 1.3 all around. Battery as far back as it can go. Had to break the battery tabs off though.

Is that 4x1.3 all around? What are the stock pistons, and will AE/Losi pistons work on the SC6? I have every configuration possible and then some in AE pistons.
I've also seen such a wide range of oil weights, like 20 point swings in setups.
I don't mind experimenting but it seems odd to see so much variance.

They will work but you can feel a little play in them when the shock first starts to compress, like a little click sound. But to try a set up they work fine, but once you find it you should get the Kyosho pistons to keep them butter

Yes 4 1.3 all around. I believe 35/30 fluids. The truck does everything very well with the setup that's on it.

Which one of Cody's setup do you run and are you mm or rm?

I have settled on 3x1.4 37.5WT front and 2x1.6 27.5WT rear.
I did start with 40Wt/30WT but found the 40WT up front too heavy
