Has anyone ran one of these that used to run an SC10.2. I love my serpent buggies. Just wondering if it runs as well and durability issues. I cant tell you how many chassis', front arms, shocks, tie rods etc. I have replaced on my sc10, but it is fast on the track.

Only thing I think are a necessity are the carbon stiffeners for the body mounts. I did add vented slipper plates and finned motor plate. I do like the alum front and rear brass bulkhead insert for extra weight when I run shorty.

Does it matter which kyosho grooved o-rings you use? I am seeing KYOORG03X and KYOORG03XR, one is clear and the other is red.

ORG03XR is the part # I had. I thought most were using the clear though. I use the Traxxas ones. Lot cheaper.

Have you installed Adobe Reader? If not I highly suggest it.

This truck is miles above the SC10.anything, box stock setup. I drove an SC10 for almost 2 years. This truck is much snappy-er, and corners ooohhh ssooooo much better than the SC10 ever did....

The only change I have made:
carbide diff balls
aluminum idler gear,
kyosho O-rings for the shocks

Some people put the rear buggy uprights on it, I haven't tried that yet.

On high bite tracks I shorten the front camber links to take some steering out of it.

Other than that, this truck is awesome!! Only thing you need to do it pick the right tires, and you should be on the podium.

I'm pretty sure I'm running a 19t on mine (same motor) that I run on a carpet track & I may try going down to a 18?

If you're on FB, you should ask the Serpent Spyder SC group. I think Tom How may have one.

First night racing my new serpent. Without any testing or practice by the end of the night I added a lap to my best run with my 22sct. Overall happy with this truck. Build went well, but some of the plastic seemed pretty soft.
