Serpentamerica.com had lots of stuff in stock last week when I ordered. Got arms, rear hubs, c hubs, steering knuckles, and a CF battery strap.

Default Shock oil?

I started building my kit last night. To make sure I had everything I needed I looked at the shock oil it comes with. It is 500 CST. The setup sheet says "PT 400". 1. Is 500 CST "PT 400"? 2. 500 CST is ~40w oil. This seems VERY thick for this kit and shock piston / design. Is 500CST the correct oil for the kit setup?

I run 27.5w in my 22sct. I run on a very bumpy track so unless there is some specific design magic / spring combination that has been done I think I will try 30w TLR oil to start.

Build Tip #1: You need a 4.5mm wrench and driver/socket. The manual doesn't specify this size. Also you need a 3mm wrench for the turnbuckles if you don't want to use pliers to hold them.

Team associated 500 CST oil is equal to 40 weight oil. And yes team losi oil will be thicker

What position is everyone running their body mounts? Do you all having to cut front wheel cutouts beyond the cit line ?

This truck is pretty awesome. I got my kit on Thursday, built it and went to the JConcepts indoor nats at Outback raceway on Friday. It was pretty dialed straight out of the box. In the seeding round of practice to set the qualifying heats I put in the 2nd fastest 3 lap run, only beaten by some guy named Ryan Mayfield. LOL. Qualified 2nd in the first round and 4th in the 2nd round. Tried a few setup changes for the 3rd round that didn't work as intended. Ended up 4th on the grid for the main. Had a good start and moved up to 3rd but then got taken out a few times and fell way back. Finished 6th in the main. Not bad for the first time driving the truck. The only setup changes I made from the kit setup were TLR 35wt front oil, 32.5wt rear oil, front shocks moved to outside hole on front arm and rear camber link to the outside hole on the hub. I look forward to getting some tuning time in on the truck to see if I can get it even better.

Bye bye Losi, hello Serpent! Ordered mine today, should look nice next to the buggy.

What are people's thoughts on the body? It looks nice, but is performance up there with bodies like the proline evo?

I like the way it looks, just be prepared to replace it. Thinnest SC body ever, they weren't kidding when they said lightweight.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. Was considering having this one airbrushed, but not much point if it's going to be ruined after one race day.
