Default R/C SouperBowl at Redneck R/C

MID-MOTOR MAFIA COMING TO BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y.

The R/C Souper Bowl race will be hosted at Redneck R/C on Feb 1st just off the turnpike north of Syracuse, N.Y. and the Mafia will be there in force.

First, Team drivers Paul, Chris Cristo, and Jim Edmonds will attend and will put on a seminar Friday evening! Anyone with any car can talk to experienced pros about anything related to racing. Get info on set-up, tire selection, driving technique, the mental side of things, anything you want to talk about. There's a good chance Young Chazz will make the trip, but if you've ever seen him drive you won't want his advice!

Second, Friday practice is free for those entered in the race, so any changes you make after talking with the Team can be tried out immediately, and you can talk more about it afterward if you want. You'll probably be able to have a lap or two with one of the Team cars if you want, and perhaps one of the Team can drive your car to make suggestions.

Best of all, X Factory is sponsoring the stock buggy class! An X - 6 Cubed Conversion Kit will be awarded to the highest-finishing driver in stock buggy who is not sponsored.

It will be a great time at Redneck with the R/C Soup crew, and of course we'll take the usual pix, podcasts, and vids, so you might see or hear yourself on our web site or FB!

Let's mob the place! Here's the flyer:

Great facility & team... it will be a great race for sure. Tons of good competition, pulling folks from all over the north east.

We hope for 200 entries. A X - 6 Cubed will be awarded to the highest-finishing driver in stock buggy who is not sponsored. We want to have good competition for this great prize, so we need at least 21 entries to award the Kit. Sign up now to make this happen and put yourself in the running!

We continue to be super pumped about the SouperBowl Shakedown. We think the clinic/seminar could be the highlight of the R/C season for those who attend. So many people think the sponsored guys are unapproachable. I can't speak for other teams, but one of the major criteria for selecting an X-Teamer is approachability. Sometimes our drivers have too much fun talking and working with others at the track and don't pay enough attention to their own stuff!

Of course this will be the perfect place to meet our guys, talk with them, pick their brains, check out thier stuff. If you have any question or concern about anything R/C -- anything -- this is the place to get answers and help. If you've been wondering why your car does something, these are the guys to ask.

Jim Edmonds is a big gas racer, and can certainly talk about those cars. Paul is among the most talented and cutting edge engineers in all of R/C. If you've listened to his R.I.P. podcast, you know Paul will talk for hours about almost anything. Want to get sponsored? Chris is the Team Manager and can show you what it takes to get sponsored, not just by X Factory, but by anybody. He's not chopped liver on the track, either.

You want to make an effort to attend this race, or maybe just Friday night. It's a one-of-a-kind event! Free too!!

Default Clinic Video Up Now

Last Friday at Redneck R/C, Paul, along with Team drivers Jim Edmonds & Chris Cristo and myself (mostly them) put on a clinic on all things R/C. It went well over an hour, with lots of great stuff discussed, from history to roll centers.

Race co-sponsor RCSoup.com filmed the whole thing, and it's up now on their web site in 8 parts. Watch any one, or the whole thing, whatever. Check it out.

If anybody would like us to come to your track, have the track owner contact us. We had a blast at Redneck, and there have only been positive comments from the audience. Paul answered a ton or questions, and we think a number of people got faster!
