Default Hitec 7955 at 8v ok to use?

I've been hearing and reading about guys using the hitec 7955 servo at high voltage.

I'm using a tekin rx8 gen2 and its BEC output is about 7.9v according to my telemetry receiver.

I just wanted to know if anyone here has used it at high voltage and would it be ok to use at 7.91v?

I have run 7955tgs on straight LiPo with zero issues.

Hitec has Even confirmed that they are ok to use at high voltage. Everyone of my vehicles has them in it. Even my rb6. I have my gen 2 bec set at 7.4. Best servo ever!

I've been running six 7955's on 8.4v since they came out. No failures.

What year did these come out? Trying to remember how old my oldest 7955's are.

yup, you're good. Everything in them can handle HV but they were out before HV sorta existed. Once it began getting popular companies started putting HV specs, but servo's like the 7955 can handle it despite the ratings.
