Default Best 1/10 4wd buggy for outdoors

Looking to try 4wd buggy thus season but my local tracks are all outdoors. They try there best to keep the tracks in the best shape possible they end up being more suitable for 4wd sc.

I'm interested in if anyone has experience running 4wd buggy in these conditions and if any of the various models stood out? Thank you.

Check out the caster s10b it's a great car and its also a little heavier than most of the others because its got an aluminum chassis. It stays a little more planted in the blown out sections because of the extra weight.

Oh and I love your signature. Cracks me up when people try to correct people's grammar in here.lol

I would say wait for the Hot Bodies to be released but who knows when that will be. Seems to be a really solid car. In the worlds I think it held up better than anything else.

Lol thank you. I have heard of that car but haven't look at it much.
Do you know a good online place for parts?

No shortage of places online for parts.

Until the car is released it will remain to be seen who will carry what for it. But I would expect Amain and StormerHobbies to be a couple of good places to start.

You can get caster parts at amain or casterracingparts.com and there are several others. It's a really great buggy and also very tough which is where most 1/10 struggle.
Here's a couple shots of mine

I used to run in these conditions all the time before I started driving 1/8th electric buggies. The best buggy was by far the XX-4 because of its sealed drive train and its awesome rough track handling. It was a bit fragile, but that should be fixed in the new 22-4. The 22-4 has been beefed up but still has a sealed drive train with nearly identical layout to the original xx-4.

the way those front axles and nut stick out from the dish you better stock up on them. Looks like they are just waiting for a tube to remove them for you.

Ya I know. They arnt the right axles they were from a previous version of the car that needed the extra length but the new ones that are for the current version (v3.5) are flush. But so far so good. When or off they ever cause an issue I will put the correct length axles on which I already have.

I second this, the XX4 was great outdoors, the 22-4 will be perfect with plenty of parts support.

Thanks guys. This was was about what I was thinking.
The hot bodies looks great but the whole when will it be released thing knocks it out for now. The 22-4 has thinking that it's going be good but a new platform needs to get the bugs worked out for a few months. That caster looks very promising for now.

The 22-4 is an evolution of the XX4 so there are very few, if any issues with it as far as I've read. I'd suggest you look into the 410 and the 44.2 as well. The 44.2 will just develop a bit of slop compared to some others but the car is excellent.

With former Durango driver Hugo signing with TeamC and the release of the TM4 (that will have a center dif option) good results are already showing up! Us team drivers will have the first batch of the TM4's in two weeks!!
