HPI Rush Evo Problem

Had a major problem with my mates rush evo saturday. we went to the model expo 2005 in birmingham, watching mad truck stunts all morning, so went to the local airfield to trash our trucks. The problem is that we couldn't get his T-15 engine to run, unless it was pulling mad revs!! i even stripped the motor out, and ran it from the tank outside of the truck. it fires up, revs high, then cuts out. you have to prime it every time if you want it to go again!! any ides, or is this thing dead? its only 6 months old, been run in right, tuned to perfection, but aint been used for over a month. :flaming:

Try a new colder plug. The plug that is currently in it may be too hot for the engine. What % fuel are you running?

the fuel is only 16%. the plug doesn't glow all that bright, but what we don't understand is why it fires up, revs really high, then dies. you HAVE to prime it every time it cuts out too. there doesn't seem to be a pressure problem, so we're well and truely stuck!!!

They are symtoms of running a plug that is hotter then needed.

What plug are you using now?

right, the plug is a cold/medium quikfire job,but have only tonight found a crack in the fuel tank!! changed the plug for a hot one, and got a new tank. He's putting it back together right now, so by the weekend, we may have some more info!!!
