sc10 set up for carpet track?
Hey guys! I'm new here so forgive me for any rookie mistakes! Lol
Anyways, I picked up this new in box sc10 rs rtr for $200! I'm wanting to race on a carpet track at my local hobby shop! Well what set up should I go with? Shock oil weight, arms, hubs, etc, just some mods I can do to make it a little better. I just ordered a Rpm front bumper, Rpm rod ends (In neon yellow) lol, and a strc front hinge pin brace!

The radio and speed control crapped out pretty darn quick!!!!! So u might want to start look for a replacement.

man you were right! the electronics are crap! since the post I have gotten a Spektrum Dx3c, tekin rs gen2 esc, tekin redline 8.5 sensored motor, Savox sc-1258tgservo, PL wheels, Jconcepts Double dees, RPM ball cups, strc aluminum, and some other stuff.

If you are running carpet try some street fighter tires with tire compound. They work at our track also they are running heavy shock oil.

I would say stick with the double dees in the gold compound. J concepts front and rear swaybar kit. Associated purple front springs and losi yellow buggy rear springs.

you're running carpet, get carpet tires, not dirt tires. Proline pinpoints (I think thats what they're called) or dboots nanobytes is what ya want. Basically limit the shocks a lot (10mm front, 12mm in the rear I think) as it makes them 100% more stable and less likely to traction roll, and go from there. You don't want it super stiff or it will pivot on the tires and roll, too soft and it will roll until it bottoms out then traction rolls. For a fast set up, it will probably roll if you crank the wheel, so you need to be smooth. Roll can be tuned right out but won't be as quick.

for carpet:
schumacher yellow tires with external raws cutted
stiffer foams
less rear toe in
weight in the front
lower ride height
sway bars if possible
stiffer suspensions
stiffer differential
less suspension travel
