Default Associated 1313 or spektrum 6040

Probably sounds like a pretty random question, but I'm trying to figure out which one would be a better option in my 1/10 4wd buggy. The lhs had suggested the 6040 for $70, but I received a gift card for a shop that I don't normally deal with. They only carry Savox and associated. I don't want a Savox. My buddy at the track suggested the 1313. It's $100. Would the 1313 be a better servo?

I run the S6040 and I love it, absolutely no complaints.

I never have ran a 1313 , but I hear good things about it as well. I only run servos that match my radio gear though, its a mental thing, but I think it helps lol

The Spektrum servos are rebadged Savox with a different output spline so I don't know if that would change your opinion.

Thanks. I didn't know that. I'm fairly new to all this but have heard that although the Savox servos are very good, many people have had glitching problems with them so I figured it was best to just not go down that road. I have a Spektrum 6020 in my sc and have no complaints.

Thanks for all the replies. I checked the specs on those servos and they are fairly close. Sounds like the 1313 is a decent enough servo, so I think I'll grab that tomorrow. If I weren't so impatient, Id probably see if they could order a Spektrum and save the $30, but I want to get my buggy on the track.

I have both and both have been great. No preference towards either one.

I'd go with the Spektrum, smoothest servo I've owned. The Associated would be 2nd. And I've run both in my RB5.

for $100..DS1015, slightly better specs than the 1313

And if they're charging $100 for a 1313, that's too much. They're about 80 bucks anywhere.

I have 2 Savox servos and I don't really like them, spend the extra 30 bucks and buy something else if you can..IMO
