The B5M is no longer in production because it is no longer relevant. The B5M Lite made it much less wanted. The Team Edition car didnt really offer consumers anything over the Lite car. It was cheaper to get the Lite car and the Original chassis and convert to 4 gear than buy a team car, then buy all the upgrades on the Lite. That being said, AE works off a 12-18 month Update schedule normally. About 2 years ago the B5m came out and a year later the Lite edition came out. So we could speculate that an updated car will be out this spring. I know what I would like to see on the car, but my guess it it will be like the CE car, with a few tweaks. I personally think the Lite car is fine, but I would like to see the New shocks and v2 shock parts with xrings. The aluminum suspension holders would also be nice to tighten up the rear arms. That would put it on par with the new tlr car for bling.

Rivkin's B5M has a few changes at IFMAR 2015. Different gearbox and shock position at the rear with new front hinge pin setup

Good luck and btw, do you have a battery charger?
Thank you so much. I have a Dynam SuperMate DC6 Double Power Li-Po Charger/Balancer. It works pretty well when I was into Helis. I got out of the Heli business because every major crash cost me a bag of money.

In relation to my previous question regarding the possible update/change of model in 2016 for the B5M. My comments were that there were changes hence the question of if those who know thought they would be doing a new model....I don't want to get the CE and then they bring out a revision in 2 months time....thanks

"If" there is a "new" car my guess is 4-6 months from now. But....it wont be anything magical or just. Just a reboxing of the current parts available.

INSANE.

The CE for $259 shipped is crazy. They've completely undercut all of their resellers with that. Damn.

Remember they haven't updated the RTR's yet maybe that will be the next step there is still a lot good about the B5M LT they don't really need a change we love these out of the box, we upgrade for the OCD in all of us.

yeah, I am really surprised about the lack of the B5 series RTR. I really thought the RM car would go that route. The alum suspension holders are nice. They remove the play front to back in the rear arms. and again the shock upgrades would be nice. I do not see them doing much more than that

b5 rtrs will come out once the 4 series cars inventory is gone is what my LHS was told. Once that happens I look for them to release the RTRs for all 3 platforms as well as FT kits for all 3 cars(b5m,t5m,sc5m). But I would look for a new 4wd platform before anything

Wouldn't see why you just wouldn't get the CE period. Options for arms, tannys, slippers. Also getting the good shocks with it. And you are only spending another $50. The extra parts alone are about $90 by them selves...

If you are worried about the chassis that much, do what I did and get one off E-bay for $40 to go along with your CE kit

I got it for the flex more than for its lighter weight as the tracks I run at are more medium bite covered in dust and sand than anything.

Order the CE from AE website, and a lite chassis.

AE could fix the front bumper hinge pin getting rubbed down and scrupping speed. I tried the exotek and it still scrapes. Have to take it all the way off and cut hinge pins but don't want to bother with machine shop. Anybody try the mod or have an outlet?

I got the lite chassis on B5m, now getting CE and will keep lite chassis for back up if needed. I never ran both chassis back to back to really get the difference in feel.
