I just got a b5m Lite and it seems like the holes are not drilled correctly where the pins go thru the CVA.
I used an old axle with the new CVA everything went together as it should.

Had issues besides the axles, missing one crush tube and 2 3x18mm flathead screw. arg took the one off my old car but still.
I had a similar issue with a NIP original design axle. The cup portion was bent/dented or otherwise out of round and I tossed it in the box to deal with another day. It's been nearly a year and I had since forgotten about it.

I would much rather have a futaba servo any how but my LHS does not carry them. I think a S9551 will fit but I do not want to make the same 100$ mistake again.
There are lots of people running the 6270 in B5M's around here. That or 6240's. It can help with both of them to simply cut off the rubber boot around the end of the connector going into the servo. Then, there is actually more room than any other servo.

Schelle has a set of 4 aluminum serrated wheel nuts, which I use and like. My local hobby shop had them for $7.99, and they are available in gunmetal, black or blue.

I am going to be buying a titanium screw set. Has anyone seen a noticeable difference between the ProTek set and the Associated set? My LHS has the ProTec set in stock ($42.99 for 77 screws), so I was going to get those......unless I hear bad feedback, or other suggestions.

For the nut discussion: TLR serrated aluminum nuts are $11 for 6! 2 spares and still $7 less than the JConcepts nuts.

Check out the Tamiya or TRF blue 4mm serrated wheel nuts. They can be had way cheaper than a lot of other options and are of great quality. I run them on my non-TRF vehicles also.

This might qualify as a stupid question. Why not use a twenty cent 4mm locknut from Ace Hardware?

Are they serrated or do they just have a nylon insert? I prefer serrated over nylon insert because the nylon insert wears out over time.

Yeah, but aside from the 6 screws more.....is there a quality difference between the AE and ProTek kits? Or anything else worth mentioning? The ProTek and AE kits are about the same price, so it is a fair shopping comparison. I saw the Lunsford one, but I don't want to spend $115.

Nope, both are fairly low grade (Grade 2) chinese made.

The Lunsford kit is the best and only kit. I bought two kits, so I always had backup.
