for sure. that dirt on the pucks? adds rotational mass. easily costs me 2 tenths. the 4 mil by 10 mil piece of gorilla tape? not only does it add weight, but it's off to the side, throwing off the left/right balance. there's another 2 tenths. aesthetically unpleasing solder job? at least a 20% loss in power. that's a 1/2 second. that's darned near a full second off of each lap, not including the crashes that the above transgressions undoubtedly induce. if i just take care of those simple things, and maybe change my name to be a tool, i might be able to make the a in club races like you do.

Ok, to turn this thing around....

Anyone try the SMC turnbuckles? Price is great. I've got some on the way for my T5M.

Got a new B5m Lite, reedy blackbox and mach2 17.5... took it out to the track and really love it... I only have one issue and that's my front wheels don't seem to be making good contact. I'm having pretty serious "push" or understeer. I experience it mostly mid to late corner and it's especially bad once I get on the throttle a bit, even if just easing into the throttle, it pushes quite badly. Setup is box stock, just like the manual says. Any tips for curing this issue without causing unmanageable oversteer? My tail end is solid as a rock and would like to keep it planted. Thanks!

A post like this with the vehicles listed in your sig. always makes me ask. How much experience do you have driving a 2wd buggy? Is this a set up issue or do you need to adapt your driving style to the inherent push that all 2wd buggies have on power..?

Where do you race?
What tires are you running? Are they the same as the local fast guys?
What battery are you running, shorty or brick?

My B5M understeered out of the box. Of course i like more steering than the average joe. Everyone that drives my cars tells me that they have to much steering/too aggresive.

I put the 2mm axles in and tuned with roll centers.
