+1 on sanding rings I like a nice fine crosshatch on mine. Question for the guys who have gone with Velcro to hold the body on are you shaving the front body mount off the top plate or do u still use it?

I shaved it off so I don't have to cut a hold in my body up front.

Time for me to say bye to my Rear motor car. I bought a conversion kit tonight. Since the Mid car I bought from a buddy has proven to be so good, I guess the Super Stock car deserves the same treatment even tho it is 3-0 since entering Super Stock. Happy and sad at the same time. LoL

After the mod race tonight, we did musical cars like people often do. I drove a friends B5M and it was on fire. I couldn't believe how that car felt. I mean hard acceleration, quick quick quick in all corners, and jumped like I always imagine a pro car would. None of us are even close to pro by the way. It was flat out awesome, didn't want to give the radio back. LOL. However I was lucky enough to still get the W. The others made more mistakes than I did is all.

Unless he is hiding his setup it is setup the same as us other four B5M users. Same radio, different ESC (Orion), and 7.5 motor instead of 8.5, same tires, pretty identical electronics layout. His car is the newest of us all at three weeks old but Wow what a car. I'm unsure how he builds his shocks and diff but it was an amazing feeling car. So smooth, tons of grip, and mucho side bite.

I just bought a conversion kit for my B5R and i'm gonna hope it turns out nearly as awesome. LoL.

My last who-ha in RC w/ the rear motor as loner car because I was done with my Rb6 was amazing. Almost TQ'ed the big race. Sitting second. Mains tomorrow, but not going to go.. But I will say I beat plenty of mid motor cars, so those who thing mid motor is the anwser it's not..

Was faster/more consistent with the rear motor B5 over my mid motor Rb6.

so i am thinking of ordering a new battery. last weekend i used my buddies trakpower 90C 2S shorty. the punch was awesome. i could really feel the difference (i have a turnigy a-spec 65 2S shorty).

so now i am trying to pick out a new battery around $80ish...probaby a shorty, but i am not opposed to a square pack. i haven't read up on the advantages/disadvantages between the two yet.

I want to get the trakpower because i have ran it once and know it's awesome. but i also saw the pro-match, max amps, protek, etc. what are you guys running and what do you feel like has the best power output (i.e. punch, battery fade, speed, power, etc)?? please only talk about batteries you have used

How do you arrive at 3° wing angle? My brain isn't picking up on how to set the wing shim for 3°. LOL.

I believe the wing mount is 6º, then the shim forward makes 9º, and the shim backwards makes 3º. Run the shim on top in any orientation for 6º.
