This Saturday night bring some Super soft Suburbs/Bar codes and do some racing with us. If you stop by the shop ask for Brent, I will be in the back packing orders M-F

What gearing + timing do you like for the D4ss?

Just wondering, since I'm still struggling with mine.

Believe it or not these motors like a TON of gear! I was running a 5.43 with 60* of timing and went to a 5.36 FDR (66/32) with 60*s and my motor just came alive! I was literally pulling wheelies down the straight and people thought I was cheating. My buddy drove it and said that that is the fastest stock car hes driven since he had a d3.5 in a rear motor car all tuned up. Also my temps dropped so I am thinking I must have hit the sweet spot on the motor.

34/69 @ 50* timing so far, I tried 60 with less gear and it didn't really get hot, where its set now its come off around 140, so its likely it can handle 60, but I wasn't risking it at motorama

My primary residence is 200 miles away but I know that I'll be there towards the end of March. I'll be there Saturday the 28th but its my Dad's birthday so I'll try to stop by at the very least.

Thanks guys, I guess I'm way under geared LOL. I was messing around with 30/69 and 31/69 and 50* timing.

Any of you running a fan on there?

Does anyone know if the copper washers in these fit the V2 aluminum shock caps?

Doesn't look like the V2 aluminum shock caps come with an o-ring for the bleeder screw like the previous caps used to?

The V2 caps, #91450, now use a nylon washer. The losi washers should not be needed. I have used the caps with no oring or washer and had zero leakage.

Has anyone else (excluding Wildcat as I know he doesn't like this kind of stuff) purchased the FT aluminium blue shock bushings?

I installed them last night but there is approximately 2mm of slop between the nut and the shock cap so effectively useless.

Has anyone else found this?

From what I understand is as long as there isn't up/down slop you are ok, I have the Schelle ones and the shocks move in/out on the bushing but up/down is good.

Either your shocks caps are extremely worn out or you possibly got incorrect parts. I just put those on my car because i got tired of replacing the schelle bushings everyother race day. Not exagerating either. Schelle ones are awesome design but bushing is no good. The FT ones snugged mine right up and i believe the part numbers are b5 specific.
