Has anyone tried the RC Shox "garodiscs" in the VTS slipper? Do they work well? Compared to the Avid / Schelle slippers?

Any thoughts or advice though?
On carpet my b5m with a 9.5 feels like a dog compared to my 44.3 with a 7.5. And, given the traction, the 2wd comes off quite hot. If I were running carpet frequently i'd probably put a 7.5 in my 2wd (somewhat for speed reasons and somewhat for heat) and a 6.5 in the 4wd. Track is maybe 100x50ish

Any input?
Schelle, Avid, Exotek, Jconcepts. I've never had any issues with any of parts of who I just listed. I don't think you can go wrong. Just pick the part based on price and availability.

I use pretty much schelle everything and the ae aluminum stuff but just like Buddha said it's a wise idea to stick to the top brands because all of them make top notch accessories.

I have a 10.5 in mine, with a touch of timing on the esc, and I am keeping up with 8.5's and 7.5's.... After a 8 min run, I am coming off at about 160°..

That's interesting. Maybe I should run 8.5 if I really want a similar feel between the two. Thanks, man.

Thanks, Scott. I've got a 17.5 in it right now cause I thought that was gonna be required. I decided on Saturday to redo the setups on both buggies and didn't have the B5 ready by the time I got there Sunday. So I ended up only running the D413.

I'm going to leave the 17.5 in there for this Sunday and see how I like it but want to be prepared with a mod motor depending on how things sort out with classes as we get going on the new track.

I use their garodisks and love them, but I just use the 2 pad configuration. Much lighter and feels more linear.

I would definitely use the RcShox pads in a 2 pad system. If you are looking for a 3 pad system, the Avid Evo Triad Slipper is hard to beat for performance.

I ran a 6.5 in my 44.2 and when I went to 2wd I switched to a 7.5 and they are very similar. I run minimal timing on carpet, especially since it's a smaller track. After a 5 minute race it was coming off at 105° if that. Geared 23-78 with the Schelle slipper. When I run off-road on a large dirt track I just increase ESC timing. Plenty fast.

Just pump the shaft in and out a few times (what she said...). It's an emulsion shock so you need to mix the air with the oil evenly. It will balance out.
