point is they are made in China so those buying them and saying they are buying USA products is not true. In an above post someone was making a buying decision because they pointed out smc was an American brand. Just pointing out they are not American made and there are better options out there than smc, and making a decision based on a USA company may not be the best option, especially when the money is not going where you think.

So what are the better options?

What they say and what they mean is two different things. What they say is "it's not a US company so I'll buy from the US company". What they mean is, "I'd rather the US owned business distributor make my $ than the Chinese owned company make my $". Yes, the original manufacturer will always make their cut and most are good with that. But when you can choose who makes that second cut - whether it's Reedy, Promatch, or SMC, many choose the US owned company. That's what they mean.

I have the pucks on my B5m, with the exception of having extra pucks, or a dogbone maybe, all the parts from the AE diff rebuild kit will work just fine. Unless there is something I am missing...

yeah def the orange things... they wear through. i had 1 of 4 wear through after 30 packs, and i replaced them all ($6 for 8 at my local track). Replace the orange thing before they wear through because if the steel pin wears on the outdrive at all, new plastic pucks (the orange thing is a puck) will wear much faster.

guy at our track uses the pucks with 13.5 in the mod class, and he says he replaces them every 12 packs. they are cheap and easy to replace

Yep, orange pucks, locktite everything. Even though the thrust is different from AE my guess is that the AE thrust will work.

Mine wasn't caged. it was just smaller bearnings, and more of them compared to the AE kit.
