I pretty much run my car with hard parts; so the list is growing.

Two front arms, front chassis brace and top plate, left and right steering blacks.
All hard parts. The hard parts are very, very brittle. It takes little more than a tap to break them

I decided today to give up on hard parts: as things break I'll replace them with stock plastic parts.

I run xfactory stadium and SC trucks. The fact that u can tune the flex is a great advantage. Who cares about side pods? I wouldn't care if my car was shaped like a brick or even a dog Turd. As long as it performs well.

All this hub talk got to me...

So tonight I soup up my plastic hubs.
Used a longer 8mm ball stud & included a motor washer under the stud with a nut on the back side for max strength.

Cus who likes breaking hubs, right ??

What are you hitting to destroy that many parts?

I will no doubt curse myself by saying this but I've broken nothing. My B5r has stock plastic apart from alloy rear hangers - AE, front brace and bulkhead - alloy parts from Centro, my B5M has hard front arms, tower, steering arms, castor blocks, and alloy parts as my B5r.

The front bearings on both cars are gritty already - both have alloy hexes and my B5M was from batch 2 so not sure what's up with the bearings? Do I need the crush washer with alloy hexes?

Hi WC, do you have a copy of the rest of your set up? Is this run with a shorty across the rear? I run on a bumpy track will the 4 hole pistons work better on this than a 2 hole setup?

So, I ran my B5M for the first time yesterday.
Car is absolutely dialed! It pushes just a little bit, but holy crap this car is awesome. I even did a half assed job building the shocks.

setup still under construction...

I run on smooth indoor clay, med high traction.

The 4 hole pistons are for improved cornering, they don't really improve performance on jumps or bumps .

With the new aluminum hub, you might want to replace the ball stud every so often. I had similar hubs on my old B4 and had a ball stud break off and I couldn't get the lock tite threaded part out.

You mentioned the B5M stall a while back, what have you done to remedy that?

I thought you always talked about yourself in the third person?

It wasn't THAT bad. Definitely leaves room for improvement though. A prototype like that would get the guy fired in my line of work.

I would guess that the first company to make a "Wildcat-approved" chassis will sell them like crazy.

Breaking the front end off was just a freak deal. Got hacked and that sent my car head on into a steel pole, ya know, the steel poles that hold up the building.

The rest though were literarily very minor taps on pipes and then yesterday I landed the down side of a double on left front tire, something I've done probably 100 times. The backside of the hub broke out.

Anyway, as these hard parts continue to break I'll replace them with plastic.

Torque flex ?

Can't go by your experience with the smaller & weaker ball studs, the new studs are way stronger .

Yes, less stall with the inline..
