Think you will enjoy switching to mid design & driving the 22 .
A great project for you...

I replaced it with the B4 part as the LHS didn't have the B5 part in stock and it is working just fine.
umm ok. i tried to use the blue b4 bottom balls and the hole is too small, hence why i said you need to use b5 parts. 3mm is bigger than 4-40.

maybe i just got 8 mismade b4/sc10 lower ft balls. good thing my b5 ones were made right.

I can't remember where I saw it, but weren't some of you running the Bulldog for the Kyosho on the B5 RM?

You cant use old with new. You either need to use the new eyelets and balls or use the old eyelets and balls. Like you said the new eyelets wont work with the old balls.

Totally agree , nothing wrong with sanding as it will do no harm.

Just think it's not near as important as learning how to do break end & adjustment for tuning...

How tight have you been running yours of late ?

Myself have been enjoying setting for the tight side.
Can't turn the wheel with out the motor & spur moving as well.

i had no problem puting b4 balls in b5 eyelets. it was the b4 balls the 3mm b5screw would not go thru them.

Gotcha. Overall there is not an issue to use the older stuff if youre in a bind and cant get newer.

I have always run a pretty tight diff. I can flick the wheel and it turns maybe 1/2 turn or so? I'm still on an 81 spur and a 7.5 as well.

As a side note many people are still waiting for the B5M....these cars are brand new......I'm looking to make a first post similar to the RB6 thread.....but keep in mind that car has been out for years........it'll take time to collect, organize and enter all the information.

Glad to hear. Some of the information is simple cut and paste. And yes, I realize this is a hobby, but it is YOUR responsibility to keep things updated or pass the mantle on to someone who will. Just sayin'.

Ok my bad slightly. The ball OD and the width of the flats where the screw goes through are identical. I did use the B5 ball in the B4 eyelet so I'm not sure if the B4 ball works...but the eyelet DOES work.

Here is what I used...but I stuck the B5 ball in it.
