Finishing my build today and needing to add electronics. I am torn on what esc/motor combo to go with. I will be getting a 17.5t and prob 33/69 gears. Primary use will be on an indoor clay track which is fairly tight.

Looking at several options..Orion R10, TekinRX8, LRP..LRP doesn't have reverse so that's probably a wash. Thinking Reedy Sonic mach2 17.5...

Thoughts? Suggestions??

I noticed quite a bit of for and aft movement on the rear arms. I fixed this with shims off my 22.....which is now for sale. I thought the 22 engineering was better than the B4. The b5 is better than the 22. Can't wait for the mm version. I will be back to having 2 buggies again. Question, when will we see a revised SC10 using the same platform? Going all AE again!

I noticed the same on the front hubs, I picked up some thin shims that I am going to play with. I don't mind the little bit of free play, as it is forward to back and not side to side.

Nice shock towers, but pricey whoooo, after conversion is almost $40 USD before international shipping.

Are you guys seek a big performance difference between the B5 and B4.2? If so what is it and how big

Performance to me was plastics quality, and overall build which is night and day difference between the two.

As for on the track, you won't be 3 laps faster all of a sudden, but I am willing to bet you will have alot less DNF's because of broken arms, or popped ball cups.

Personally I picked up a lap on the same layout with the B5 pretty much box stock over my decked out and track tuned B4.2. Same electronics were used. I found the B5 more consistent to drive, lands jumps better for sure and is more stable.

I have come to notice the gap between the Mid and Rear motors isnt as much any more with this car. It definitely corners much quicker than my B4.2. Where it felt sluggish the B5 is quicker, that's not to say where the mid cars would pull on the rear motor they dont any more, they still do just not as much. This is an excellent driving car and with some more time under it i know we will see even more improvements.

I am very impressed with this car associated has put out, its definitely a step up and a leap in the right direction!
