I wonder what they changed in the shock bodies? Definitely a different part number than the .2 bodies, but same stroke. Now they say "V2". Maybe they made the bore a little smaller to fit the molded pistons a bit better.

I"m sure the 32.5 fr/rr was chosen since only one bottle was included w/kit. But I don't think I've seen a 1.7 piston in the rear yet of any C4.2.
Setup is specifically what Kody and Brent were working on last Friday, so don't be surprised if that changes or there are options on RC10.com

I don't know specifically what they changed on the bodies, but I asked Kody directly if the new seals were "backwards compatible", he told me no, they were remachined to improve sealing.

Although Ti-Nitride shock shafts are available, I saw Kody testing the B5M last Friday and he told me the V2 shafts are a true 3mm, the others are around 2.9mm. He said that the V2 is a totally updated shock.

I wonder why the O rings are used on the inner steering ballstuds? They're not used anywhere else.

Thank you and good job sir

10 rear roll centers on the rear hub alone, fantastic
One piece steering link from servo to rack, very nice
Keeping chassis perfectly flat -- saves cost and makes it easy to make alternates, genius
Wing angle shims -- good, would still rather mount with screws
I have a servo stop, it's called dual rate but seriously, I never want less steering throw anyways
The extra boss on the rear axle, good thinkin slim

This car looks great -- can't wait

Still with the screws as shock standoffs? Ugh.

They list an aluminum shock bushing (#91447) in the options list in the back. This is the base kit and not a FT version, so keep that in mind.

The chassis doesn't appear to be perfectly flat, the sides angle up slightly for the chassis craddle.

Yeah the bushing goes on the screw. They've had the same thing all the way back to the rc10t I bought 20+ years ago.

I remember that and hated that then.

I wonder if the SC10 4x4 titanium shock mount (#91139) would work and give you quick shock adjustment?

You're comparing a cheap, plastic gear servo with a ti-gear high end servo, not a old servo and a new servo. I said old, not cheap.
What companies made metal gear digital servos 20 years ago?

I was suprised to see the part number for the shock eyelets change. Maybe because the ball needs to have a 3mm hole? I know the b4 eyelets were tight to thread on.
