Unless my memory fails me, the Rulux wheels are not hex compatible. They were before hex adapters were the norm.

That is correct... Rulux rears use the pin style mounting and the fronts have 9.8mm hex (4wd) or bearing in the wheel (2wd).

With a Trinity D4 Maxzilla, I was running 69/31. Just went up to a 32 pinion. My can timing is at 55 degrees.

So they won't fit the B5M?

The idler gear has no effect on the FDR.

Thumbs up

Well I finally got to run my B5M for the first time. Even though the track surface was a little slippery in the morning, I didn't change the kit set up at all and it was like a slot car. I must admit I found it to be a different driving style to a rear motor buggy.

Finally drove mine in mod which is new to me, haven't driven mod buggy in about a year..car feels pretty good as far as landing goes, rear end was a little loose but track is still new and I didn't have tire sauce. Overall impressed thus far just need to find traction and practice more to get my lines down..

The Brass C & D blocks helped when our track was green after a fresh layout change. Now that I was finally able to find some the Al in stock i'm switching over to those now that traction is back up.

Just a little feedback/update on my brass weight I made.
Of the 3 size (90g, 120g and 150g) the 150g was a little too much as the car was a little bit tail happy the 90g was better than stock on slippery surface and the 120g was the perfect compromise for the super high/low grip track. So much so that my mate (who's a little better than me) with his new (almost stock) RB6 was no match for the b5m especially on the gym floor.

Very happy with the car with the weight on our local track.

I then had a week end racing event on wet astro. I was planning on proper tires for this but the LHS stock couldn't supply them in time... so I ended up being one of the only guy with yellow mini spike tires on a very wet and then wet/damp astro track... Anyway I did good . Stock setup+the 120g provided me the A main on stock (second race I've ever done BTW). My mates of course told me "ya see the tyres difference don't do much so it's not that handicapping" .... well when it was just damp they went from silver to yellow compound such a me and guess what... their cars were all over the place . Me with a big grin when I saw them afterward saying "so ? Yellow compound?" their reply "Ice-skating!".

The weight gave me a nice controllable car even on very wet astro and the wrong tyres .
I finished two finals 6th and 8th in A main stock starting at position 11 out of 12 on the starting grid.

Officially being the first time ever gotten in the A ^^ (and my mates in B).
