This may be rantish, but having worked in customer service for years when something that new breaks, you take care of the customer.

The radio works very well for my needs, but I don't want to go all in on something I am having doubts about now - between my two receivers and the radio I could probably get close to $160 - and an MT4 is 220.... only reason why those gears started turning.
Where did you buy it? May still be new enough to get the retailer to exchange instead.

I did this on a novak system once with amain. Called novak and they said my problem was a "known issue" and to send it in to get replaced with a 2 week turn around, called amain and they let me send it back for store credit.

This is my B5 RM. I have the same setup in my B5M, but don't have a photo handy ATM...

Local shop - I've spent a lot with them in recent months and I am going to head up there tomorrow to see what they can do - I'm really hoping they will work with me considering the business I've given them recently. I called and they said no dice but the guy on the phone was their worst employee.

Savox 1257 (I think) here - works great - don't have much to compare it to besides a stock slash 4x4 servo I had once - its a loud servo but works fine

I run a XP DS1015 in mine and the servo lead is the perfect length - just long enough to fit into the receiver without any extra wire.

hey bud. You need around a 22cm lead. For sorvos with short leads, I replace the servo lead with the right size. I like the TQ servo leads for the blacked out look. I have a Hitec 8360TH and it is plenty long and it offers the black/silver look that I like. My Protek 130ss is about 2cm short. I can be done, but its tight.

Just don't get a short profile servo, the wires coming out of the case end up being in the way of the servo mount. I had to swap servo's from my 2wd SC.

You can get them to "work", but short servos are a pain. The cases are always shaped funny and the links like to hit. Plus, you really really really dont want to take weight out of the front of this car. The car is super light with a lot of rear bite. So taking weight out of the front = wheelies. you want to take weight out of the rear. light weight tranny parts and stuff. If you go pucks, you will be boarder line legal weight. I am 1525 with a full servo and 14 grams under the alum rack. And I dont even have pucks, that would be another 25-30 less grams

I think it is a radio. And yeah, most LHS have a no return policy. They require you to go through the manufacture warranty.

Yep, and then will complain profusely that the online retailers are stealing their business.

Hcoop

The springs are easy to get and replace, have them hanging on the wall here.

Scott Brown & some our fastest use the same radio as yours.

I would actually agree with Cherry on this, fix it yourself.

I'm curious as to how your shop has springs on the wall though George, Horizon is TERRIBLE when it comes to getting radio parts. Sadly

While I was wrong on about it being an esc. What online retailer will accept a return on a used esc?
