The stretching of the cups does help. I polished mine until they were marginal, then let them break in the rear of the way. now they are fine. if they start to stick now, it is because they are dirty. I clean them and put them back and they are good again. They are good cups, but I am going to look into getting the 5.7mm reamer.
Just cant decide whether I want Ti studs or not, probably overkill..
If you wanna use it LMK

Has anyone gotten any info to when the factory team b5 cars are going to be available. Exact time frame is not important but maybe a estimate of a month, two months or we talking 6 months to a year. Based on the AE track record of previous cars usually about six months after original cars debut.

I have the 5.7 reamer I got a set from China... And I bought a new set of cups just cause the other ones were beat to death because I put several of them on backwards (totally skipped that part of the manual).

WC, I don't think there is anything wrong with the ball cups. They are the best I have used. I have yet to pop one off and I drive my car like it is in the circus.
With that said, people, myself included, are in fact having binding issues with them. Which I believe is because of the extremely tight clearances (which is a welcome improvement) and if you install them with more pressure on one side, the cup will distort.

See WC this is exactly why people on this forum have a hard time with you. You make it sound like nobody should have issues with them thier just putting them on wrong period.

My kit ball eyelets were perfect from the start, probably put 1,000 laps on them with no binding. I bought a replacement pack, and they were very tight. So I can say from personal experience that not all eyelets were created equal
Good luck with the binding issues.
Just think if after building more then a few kits you think I would of experience the same problems .
This is my last comment with the issue..

normally I give a crap less about Ti screws....But we have a rust issue locally, so I can drop weight and keep the rust at bay. Lets hope the screws dont suck, lol.
