Personally I have that Kody OCRC setup on my car and I'm getting around. I've only had a handfull of race days with it because I got my cars right before 8th scale season. I'll start focusing on it in a few more months lol. For now if I need it, I know it's there in a jam haha.
Hartson inline setup? Or of your own design? I hear you on tires. All of my tires are new since the durango ditching. Running them all at OC/RC tomorrow a few times to break them in. Maybe when it cools down a bit throw a couple sets on the street and grind em down a touch.
i also personally ran all hard parts, i think he only ran hard arms and front tower.. not sure .
also if youre not running a slipper eliminator @ OCRC with a mid motor you might as well just buy a rear motor :P

Get Brent Thielke's hot rod setup. Change to 3/1 antisquat and go to white front spring and green rear spring due to less weight over the rear. This is what i ran in 17.5 MM @ OCRC. You may want to try white rears too depending on the weight of your car.. mine was 1501 RTR.

I know what you mean. When I had my short course truck I used full sized packs with 5mm bullets. Was not a big deal as I just wired up a new change harness with a 5mm bullet. But it got tedious switching back and forth from 4mm harness to 5mm harness then back again.

i have a couple more questions. roll center, what is it and what is the purpose? if i change the trailing arms inserts what will it do to the car? and what will rear toe do to the car?

^^^ Those Exotek parts are beautiful. I saw them on their site last night. Those carbon fiber shock mounts are thick, but I still wonder how durable they'll be in the event of a crash. The metal ball stud mounts could possibly pull out too.
How many turns would you run in mod? I bought a HobbyWing Justock ESC for my stock SC truck. Then I moved to mod buggy and bought a HobbyWing Xtreme Stock ESC. The Xtreme Stock ESC will do both blinky and mod. I'll be honest, I'm new to racing, but I love both ESC's.
If you want an even cheaper option that has been getting rave reviews, you can try HobbyKing's 120A ESC that apparently can use HobbyWing firmware and programming cards. Not bad for $37. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...nsorless_.html
So I know I am going to get a few different repsonses...but that's the idea. I am looking for a recommendation on an ESC. Going to run stock at first. (Sonic Mach 2 17.5) Then once I am comfortable enough, move up to modified. So any input on the type of ESC that would be able to handle both? I dont mind spending a little if its truly worth it. Would love to hear everyone's input!

yes very nice but $45 is to steap for me for a tower and I swap back and forth between the towers and arms to much.

Especially if you need both towers as a tuning option. It would be nice if they included both towers and only one set of the aluminum ball stud mounts.
Ae tower is $8....
I like & good with that..

Guess I need to place another Exotek order. New tower looks killer and will round out the package since I already have all the other stuff they offer.
