lol, I didnt get your post. Your saying he should upgrade the Tekins or keep them because of their tunability? Personally of all the esc's I have tried, I hated the tekins the most. It was like driving an on/off switch.

Don't know what happened there. They're most definitely NOT worth upgrading.

Set initial throttle to minimum and the on/off nature of the ESC is gone.

ah ok. Yeah I did that to my gen2 esc. I personally didnt like it. Some people like them. They have nice features, but I didnt like the feel. They are really small and light weight and have the best soldering posts IMO. But I never got the feel out of them that I get from from HW, Viper or orions. I worked with tekins support (which is great) to try and tune the esc, it just never got there.

no images, did not take any of when we compared weight percentages on the three.

Main thing is online battery offer better handling & jumping , lighter by a 1/2 oz with out all the motor wire...

Hey WC, just wondering how different the car felt on the fresh track not having the "black groove"?

What are the common breakages you guys are seeing on this car? It's pretty damn tough but I don't have local support so as much as I hate to, I'll have to stock up on parts...

The Tekin Gen2 and the newer software is much better than the gen one stuff. my gen one stuff agree was like an on off switch. several of the guys at our local indoor drivers are using the orion stock esc, even in mod racing. Our track is not real big so the esc at $130.00 and going down to a 5.5 motor seems like a real bargain. Several of the drivers, including the sponsored drivers say all the tuning options on the high dollar orion are not worth the money on a smaller indoor track. if i was in the market for an esc the orion seems like a good buy and you can run a stock 17.5 motor down to a 5.5 mod motor if you want. Im happy with my Tekin RSX's but could have saved $100.00 with the orion stock spec.

The inline short pack mod is so good Clayton ? I don't even practice one pack with.

I did switch back to 3/1 toe blocks.

It has the same grip as running the pack in the rear sideways.
Traction is very high already, 17.5 r traction rolln on the sweep.

Not me ....He !

front pivot block. I broke some hard arms, but my plastic ones are super tough. I even have dents in them from hitting the nails poking out of the pipes and still not broke.

I would get the front arms, shock tower, and pivot block. Just because the front of the car is what hits stuff and is most likely to break, but probably wont.

First picks came out like almost a year ago. Kinda weird. I guess they are really testing that thing.

By Pivot Block are you meaning bulkhead?

Correct. TLR and Kyosho calls it a pivot block. Mixed up the terminology. Here is a link for clarification
