When you're a member they send you coupon codes for $$ of the price of purchases. The higher the dollar value of your purchase, the more money you get off.

Works out to about 10-25% I believe. If I remember correctly the codes thye email to members are for a greater discount percentage than the regular codes.

they seemed to standardize it to 15% now for the common through the year stuff.

Before it was like 16.7% at the best discount, and before that it was like 20% at the best discount.

For what you guys are hearing, what springs do you guys recommend in general for the vehicle? Don't want to end up with a bunch of stuff I don't use lol.

This woudl be a loose conditions (yes, I know guys will say go with the RM, but want to give MM a go if I do try it out)

well, I would have some blacks for the rear. typically you go softer rear and stiffer front. But, greens are already pretty stiff. I would get black rears though for sure

SMC all the way, superior quality and low prices. He has short, saddle, and square coming soon. Best customer service in the industry and he's been in business since the nicad days. Www.Smc-racing.net

I bought two of these to use in my B5m ($29.90 each)

http://www.valuehobby.com/power-syst...600mah-2s.html

I've had great success with Gforce packs in the last year. I have a few 2s packs and a 4s pack. My brother and I used Gens Ace a few years ago and I'm not sure if we got a bad batch or what but our 2s packs didn't last very long and started puffing and loosing power fairly quickly.

I've bought plenty of stuff from him and never had a problem. If it's pre puffed, why not call or email Danny, he takes care of his customers and cares about his company's rep... Pro-pufftek on the other hand will gladly sell you another crappy battery for 1/2 price so you pay 150% for a meh battery. I don't race stock though, we only have 3 pros out here in hillbilly land.

LOL...

To each there own. Everybody's experience differs.

I have a ProTek saddle pack that is a little "puffy", that still works fine. It was much more expensive than my 25C Gens Ace saddle that is not puffed at all.

I don't currently have any SMC LiPo's, but I have their "square" pack on back order (much more price friendly than the Reedy). So I guess I will soon see first hand what to make of the SMC batteries.

I did email him, and i was told this was 'normal'. I bought 2 shorty packs last June, they arrived on time and were both puffed, one more than the other. I was told that it is normal for them to puff a bit because they stuff so much battery in there and the case walls are thin. Never had an issue with Pro-Tek or Aero-Model batteries puffing.

If it's a matter of squeezing thicker cells into a case that's not quite large enough for them then that's one thing but I'd still want to know when they intended to re-tool the case so that it fit.

If the pack is arriving flat-sided and then it changed, that would be cause for worry. The original Horizon/Losi short packs used to puff a little bit and I've never heard of one causing a fire but I would still not choose a battery from a label that said "puffing is normal". It's not normal and it's not safe.
