I don't have any experience with the XFactory conversion, but I run a carbon chassis with the stock plastic rails, and I love it. Almost as stiff and at least 60g lighter

Personally as mostly a 1/8th driver normally having to maintain 6+ gear diffs, using one is MUCH easier for me. I run high bite indoors (slicks only), so being able to perform maintenance and set the gear diff up exactly or as identically as I want is much easier for me. Ball diffs are more of a black art So really, it's also what you're comfortable with.

Maintenance wise, I think they're probably about the same, the gear probably being a little less, but I'm typically breaking down every couple of race days anyway.

Matt.
You are so right.
I just want to make carbon parts to the b5m and the moderators are saying that iam selling them if i have an pic here or an link to my facebook site and there is for sure no prices up.
This is so wierd because there is lots of links here where they are selling stuff and that is against the rc tech rules.
And iam not aloud to put pics here about my carbon parts.
I think many would like to see them here.
Now i have made the rear shocktower but cant any pics here and an link i cant put here either.
So if any intrest to follow what iam doing out of carbon please pm me and ill send the link.
I think that is also against the rules..

For stock no... For mod it varys... Most people will just use square pack or saddles instead of shorty pack to make thiers hook up a little better when they are on a loose track... I dont see alot of people adding weight though at my tracks... I run on medium bite.
