Default B5m complete

Finally got some tires and have the chassis completed. The Charger I purchased didn't work and had to be returned so I won't be able to practice or race for another week or so bummer. My car weights in at 1598gr. Completely stock other than Lunsford turnbuckles. I also used a screw/piece of plastic instead of foam pads to hold the battery in place. This saves a few grams, but I did that so I would have a place to mount the capacitor.

Most of us are running a Schelle Nova. When are you running at Outback again? If I only run 4wd I'd let ya try out mine for the race day.

I think the JC fin and Lunsford weigh the same. I think the AE is a little heavier 1-2 grams total set. Items that can change from one set up to another are electronics, body/wing, and tires. Sometimes 40 + grams.

I think most all are aware but the AVID and SCHELLE slippers as far as function are identical. There appearance is slightly different but Kurt designed both so whether you buy one or the other you will get the same result, which is a much more consistent feel compared to the kit slipper. Both are excellent products.

I'm not sure when I'm going again, definately going toward the end of December. I might race dec 20. But I'm busy these next few weeks. Is the biggest advantage weight loss?

The schelle or avid are both more adjustable and consistent over a run than the stock.

So I see this recent talk about what slipper is better. Now while I agree that the vid slipper has I high rotating mass, why do you feel you need the "adjustability" of the schelle or the avid slipper setups... Especially when you are talking about stock indoors. Doesn't matter what slipper you are using. Lock it down and go.

I would say that is dependent upon your grip level at the track a locked down slipper on a track that doesn't have a ton of bite might hurt your lap times

Yeah I guess I can see that. Maybe I was just being biased to my track. We lock it down and go. No check no adjusting set your diff tight lock down the slipper hit the track. That is for 17.5 buggy

Schelle changed the spur material and I find it to be a little quieter.

Avid Spurs can be soaked in water for a few hours and it dramatically reduces noise.
