slipper
I have the b5m and was looking to buy a light weight top shaft, was thinking the mip one or the schelle I noticed the mip one to be lighter and cheaper. Is it less durable though? Also looking to buy a light weight slipper setup. I am running the stock class and want to know what is best slipper setup to buy. Im sure it's been posted before but there's 623 pages..

My buggy weighs 1620 gr race ready. I currently have JConcepts fin turnbuckles, milled motor plate, Schelle slipper and run an Orion shorty. I race mod and would like to get my buggy down to 1580 gr. What's the best way to loose 40 gr? I am not wanting to use that protech lipo. Are the fin turnbuckles heavier than FT titanium turnbuckles? I saw that AE came out with titanium screws that drop your car by 20 gr. that would be a big dent.

What I don't understand is when I look at Cavs setups he is down to 1570-1580 gr but I don't see anything special beyond titanium screws. What is he doing different?

Thinking about picking up another B5M to setup for Mod. Currently mine is setup for stock and has it weighing in at 1501g ready to go. Don't want to take all those parts off so I figure I can just get another one and get it going.

No the MIP one is great I had it and even ran it in mod and it held up great. For running stock as I said in a previous post I would recommend getting (along with the aluminum top shaft) the MIP puck system and as far as a slipper you will have some guys tell you to get the slipper eliminator but I still believe in having a slipper so therefore for the best of both worlds get the schelle slipper and the schelle lockout plate and try both and see which one you like more. Also I would recommend getting a schelle bearing kit as a free spinning car is very important in stock and if you have the extra $32 also get the ceramic gearbox bearings.
Thnk you for the reply, I will look into the schelle lockout plate and slipper. Thank you!

Slipper
What slipper does Everyone prefer. The schelle nova slipper? Or the avid triad slipper? I am a rookie and race at outback raceway in chico. Any help is appreciated, I know I could ask the locals at the track but usually this is a quicker response back. Thank you.
